Monday Monday

Here's a little something to start the week out right.

Now wouldn't it be nice to always walk around in a robe with a drink in your hand?
I guess you can interpret that any way you'd like.
To some, this would come to mind:

Which looks pretty damn good.
But to the rest of us.....we think of:

And we all know how a certain rug can really tie a room together.

Mr. Bridges, you've come a long way.

And who the hell's the dude on the right?

Sorry. I saw this picture and completely forgot why we're here.
Guess that's as good a time as any to celebrate June Carter Cash as today's Iconic birthday.....

Pretty sure that's Marty Stuart on guitar and it looks like the fiddle player is the incomparable Bob Saget!
Man of many talents.

The whole "Ring of Fire" concept came about when June had seen the phrase, "Love is like a burning ring of fire," underlined in one of her uncle A.P. Carter's Elizabethan books of poetry.
Guess that described her feelings for Johnny to perfection.
I don't exactly know what a ring of fire would look like under June's interpretation, but I imagine it looking something like this:

Paradise burning. Yeah that's right.

Perhaps you can write a hit song using a similar theme.
You can call it Dante's Paradise and Purgatory!

Or not.

Maybe that's how Steve Miller came up with his line "you have to go through hell before you get to heaven" from "Jet Airliner"....

Either way, that tambourine player really needs to calm down.

I guess it all comes down to burning love. And I'm not going to say "hunka hunka"...

...but I really want to.
